While the concept of ending the casting on solid tooth structure seems to be foundational to successful restorative dentistry, recent research and experience suggests otherwise. The opinions of many clinicians have been undergoing a paradigm shift in how they should restore teeth, moving away from the full crown that has long been the mainstay of clinical practice. This concept of a multi component restoration where the clinician uses adhesive dentistry to replicate the biomechanics of the intact tooth has been termed "Biomimetic Dentistry."
Upon completion of this CE webinar, the student will have reviewed 1. the fundamentals of this shift in how teeth are restored 2. step-by-step how to create securely bonded, fail safe restorations that avoid the downside aspects of full cutdown crowns
